There are debugger warnings from scrollrichedittext.lzx when the rich text editor is constructed. Looks like the author of the file forgot the tortured semantics that strangle closures in OpenLaszlo's class system.

There are no warnings on rich text editor startup anymore.

Ran the following file, it calls scrollrichedittext.lzx, in swf7 and swf8.
lps/components/incubator/rich-text/test/scrollrichedittext-test.lzx
