Asked jsundman for text.
John is in fact working on this bug, directly in the source.
I edited the copy to make it more appropriate for 4.0.5, but it needs to be vetted.
Amy, can you take a look at the text in which I described what this is for and our official position relative to dhtml -- in particular, are we recommending DHTML for production deployment? The answer is no, right? That will be 4.1?
Hi John,
Yes - it is the recommended platform for .swf development, and DHTML will come along in OL 4.1 (as you correctly state). I liked the paragraph! Please replace these 2 sentences: "OpenLaszlo 4.0.5 is now the recommended platform for developing OpenLaszlo applications compiled to .swf format. If you've been holding back on OpenLaszlo 3.4, now's the time to move up. " with this 1 sentence: "With OpenLaszlo 4.0.5, there is no longer any reason to continue application development using OpenLaszlo 3.4." Then continue with all of the existing text. Also - one more change - under OpenLaszlo Depends on You - I don't see anything about being a contributor. Please mention that too - so ".... by contributing to the development effort, filing ...." It should link to the "be a contributor" page on the web (http://www.openlaszlo.org/cfaq). Thanks! Desired text is displayed on OpenLaszlo Explorer page. r6938 in Firefox 2.0.0.8 in Windows.
